Falcom and NIS America have revealed that October 25th marks the launch of Ys 10: Nordics in the West, the newest installment in the renowned action RPG saga. The game can be enjoyed on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC from the get-go.
In Japan, the game's launch is set for September 2023. The plot unfolds between Ys 2 and Ys: Memories of Celceta, concentrating on a younger version of the character Adol Christin. The narrative follows Adol and his loyal companion Dogi as they discover a new destination, Obelia Gulf, where they meet the sea warriors called Normans. One of these warriors, Karja Balta, develops a close connection with Adol as the narrative advances.
This paves the way for the Cross Action System, allowing players to alternate between Adol and Karja when executing different attacks. Mana is also available to the players for exploring the game universe—they can ride on air currents, demolish barriers, or use grapple hooks. Ys 10: Nordics makes history as the first franchise offering naval battles and exploration, with Adol using the Sandras to traverse the Gulf.
