Excitement surrounds the release of the latest installment in the beloved franchise, showcasing a significant advancement that players have long anticipated. In a notable move, BioWare has confirmed that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will include a photo mode from the very beginning, setting it apart as the inaugural title in the series to offer this feature upon launch.
This introduction of a photo mode means that players can finally capture their favorite moments in-game without resorting to external applications. The new feature promises a robust array of tools common in contemporary games, similar to what players have experienced in titles like Horizon Forbidden West and Spider-Man 2.
The photo mode will include a free-roaming camera along with autofocus capability. Players will find the option to hide characters, including their own character, party members, enemies, and NPCs. Additionally, there will be customizable settings to adjust screenshots based on preferences such as brightness and saturation.
During a conversation with IGN, game director Corinne Busche acknowledged the technical contributions from Mass Effect: The Legendary Edition's technical design director, indicating that Brenon Holmes played a pivotal role in integrating this feature into The Veilguard. Busche expressed enthusiasm over a feature that allows for greater control over in-game photography, highlighting the ability to arrange the scene precisely as the player desires, regardless of in-game conditions.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is poised to debut on October 31 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S X, Xbox Series S, and PC, promising fans a fresh and visually engaging experience.
